Luciana Paluzzi

Actress Luciana Paluzzi was one of the many gorgeous Italian brunettes preparing for international stardom in the wake of Gina Lollobrigida. The 1950s saw Ms. Paluzzi worked on both sides of the Atlantic in movies such as Three Coins in the Fountain and Sea Fury. She was granted the opportunity to make her debut as an American TV star in the character of Simone Genet in the 1959 weekly spy show Five Fingers. The actress met with Bond producers in the year 1965 to discuss the possibility of being considered for the role of lead actress Domino Derval in Thunderball. Terence Young, the director was willing to offer Fiona Volpe the role as the villain. It was her one of very few women who were able to resist the temptation of Mr. Fiona Volpe, who is slain in the midst of a dance floor by the Bond's friends possibly to retribute her for her behavior. James then places her deceased body in front of a table, and asks "Do you think it's okay if my partner stays with me at home?" The fault is not with her. This blockbuster's box office success allowed Luciana Paluzzi to extend her European film career throughout her 70s, in both the US as well as Europe by starring in films like Captain Nemo And The Underwater City (1969), The Six Million Dollar Man (1973), The Klansman (1974) as well as The Greek Tycoon Luciana Luciana Luciana
